India and Bahrain enjoy excellent bilateral relations, characterized by cordial political, economic and cultural ties. Our bilateral trade and commercial exchanges go back around 5,000 years, tracing their origins to the Dilmun Civilization in Bahrain and the Indus Valley Civilization in India.
India and Bahrain have continued to strengthen their diplomatic and economic relations, and partake in political and cultural exchanges, with Bahrain EDB helping companies to invest and set up in the Kingdom. In 2015, the total trade in goods (excluding oil) totalled US$674 million.
